Typically more content means better business with Google, but if your site does not allow for it, then don't worry about it.

This is quite an extensive information. I'm still working through all the details on properly optimizing my blog and this will be quite useful.

So does it mean I need to create a lot more content in order to score well?

Great summary for utilizing on page SEO methods. Many folks just don't know these. They think a website simply becomes popular.

I would also mention or write a post concerning silo structuring.

Keep up your good work.

Well, that's the thing. I feel that using Twitter for SEO purposes is simply not worth it, not matter how you look at it. However, I still see people trying to just that. They don't realize that the nature of Twitter is not to reap any sort of search engine benefits, but instead to tap into a large userbase of potential visitors. Whether or not you believe this is "ethical" is entirely up to you, however the fact remains that white hat or otherwise, social media promotion is separate from search engine optimization.

I completely agree with your point that without massive retweeting at the viral level it's very difficult to solicit movement in the SERPs with tweeted links alone.

That said, I think the idea of using tweeting as a method of building backlinks for the sake of the backlinks themselves and without the intention of providing valuable content to engaged users goes against the very principles of white hat SEO. Isn't the cornerstone of white hat SEO to create a rich profile of organic backlinks via highly unique and valuable content?

To that end I think the promotion of what valuable and unique content you have is an essential part of the white hat SEO strategy and what better way to connect with hundreds daily visitors than to tweet that content? If you plan on doing SEO 100% ethically and organically, I think it's pretty hard to separate social media and promotional strategy from SEO. And if you're not going to take the ethical route...why not just start building link wheels and drop the social media shenanigans altogether?
